12 teams to fight for US Open title

MARGATE/FL – USA: A total of 12 teams will fight for the 2022 US Open T20 title.

This year the biggest purse on offer ever at the US Open will be on offer, as organisers have decided to give a total of US$150,000 in prize money.

A number of teams applied to enter into the most prestigious tournament in North America and after meeting all the criteria the executive of CCUSA settled on the final 12.

The final 12 teams taking part in the tournament which begins on December 5 are Samp Army, Clarion County, Stallions X, CVUCC, Florida Scorpions, Knight Riders, Tampa Tigers, Titans, Dallas All Stars, Virginia Fox, Masters Cricket Club and Stallions CC.

This year the prize money has been extended by US$50,000 making it the most lucrative T20 league in North America. Next year this is expected to reach US$250,000. Chairman of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi said he is excited at the prospect of this year’s tournament. “We have increased the prize money and we now stand at US$150,000. We have been giving out US$100,000 over the years and now we have decided to increase this.
