USA captain Mahammad Qureshi batted well to ensure that his country defeated Pakistan to finish third in the Legends World Cup that recently took place at the Central Broward Regional Park, USA.
Qureshi batted through the innings to take his team home by four wickets as they completed an easy win over Pakistan. Batting first Pakistan made 98/8 after being stifled by the US slow bowlers. Initially it was Naveed Ahmed who made the early inroads and after him Ali Bhukari and Anwar Ali also took two wickets each. The best of the batsmen for Pakistan was Shezan Ahmed who scored 28 and Shelesh Sehar who made 27.

When the US went in to bat they lost Shuja Khan and Rizwan Mohammed cheaply but skipper Qureshi held firm. He was able to keep away the early Pakistani threat and together with Anwar took the United States to safety.
They added 66 runs for the third wicket and when Anwar got out for 42 off 28 balls with two sixes and five fours, Qureshi stayed to the end to bring home the victory. The right hander remained 27 not out off 42 balls with three fours.
