Mamchan leads commentators at US Open Premier League

Experienced commentator and journalist Vinode Mamchan will lead a host of commentators at the upcoming US Open T20 tournament when the action gets going on December 5 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale, USA.

The West Indian who has been in the business for the past 24 years is well recognized around the world for his work as a journalist and commentator and will bring his vast experience to the broadcast. Mamchan has covered 10 ICC World Cups and has been around the US Open since 2014.

He commands great knowledge of US cricket, so much so, he was inducted into the US Cricket Hall of Fame in 2021. The award winning journalist was also the recipient of the SOSA awards for three consecutive years in his native Trinidad and Tobago.

Joining Mamchan in the commentary booth for this year’s event is India’s Dr. Nilesh Mehta who has covered four World Cups and has been to the US Open T20 last year, giving his critical analysis of play and also bringing great historical facts to the production.

In addition to Mehta there will be commentary by the USA’s Lennard Achaibar who has been to the US Open for around decade. The well-researched Guyanese adds a lot to the production and is also very knowledgeable when it comes to US players.

Another veteran joining the fray will be Nevisian Ivor Henry. He is a household name in cricket in South Florida performing firstly as an umpire before moving across to commentary. His sense of humor is appreciated in the commentary box.

Others joining in to call the play at the 14th edition of the US Open T20 will be Zishawn Qureshi, Ahmed Rana and Joe Sieuharack.
