Legends draft August 20

BOCA RATON/FL – USA: As excitement mounts over the inaugural Legends Cricket World in Florida, organisers Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) and the Cricket Hall of Fame have announced that the draft for players will take place on August 20 at Boca Raton, Florida, USA.

The World Cup which will feature players over the age of 50 will take place at the Central Broward Regional Park in Sunrise and will include teams from the United States, Canada, India and West Indies. The four teams will have places to fill at the draft and this is why CCUSA is encouraging all players who are eligible to register for the draft at www.ccusa.info so that you have a chance of taking part in this tournament.

Chairman of CCUSA, Mahammad Qureshi explained that this is the first of many to come for the Legends World Cup. “This is the start of something special and both CCUSA and Hall of Fame have seen it fit to come up with this idea. We will continue to stage this and we are hoping for a big bang to start off. We think the competition will be competitive and as such we urge the top players to make themselves available so that owners can pick them up on the draft.”

The tournament will be played from September 27 to the 30.
